Nautilus needs Dive Control Specialists and Instructors!!!
Nautilus is looking for SSI Dive Control Specialists and Instructors for our 18m day boat Nautilus. Crossover from another agency or do the Dive Control Specialist Course which is equivalent to a Divemaster and Assistant Instructor course. With our courses you are mentored through your training and have free diving on our vessel. Contact the store for more details. The next Dive Control Specialist course is 3rd May 2008.
The 18metre Nautilus is running out to Moreton Bay and Stradbroke Island every weekend as usual plus our 2 Friday dives a month. We have an afternoon night dives, Advanced wreck diving days and Stradbroke Island trips scheduled every month. Our night dive trips have been very popular because they are so exciting and show different creatures from the day dives. Remember, we are the only day dive boat now doing afternoon/night dives out in Moreton Bay and Flinders Reef.
You can participate in night dives if you are Advanced Certified or participating in an Advanced Adventurer Course with us. Have a look at the newsletter for details.
Advanced Adventurer Courses are available as two day trips (6 dives) on 18 metre NAUTILUS. Total cost including course and trip is $390.00.
We have also scheduled four trips this year up to Lady Musgrave Island for fantastic diving with Manta Rays and beautiful coral diving aboard the Venus 2 liveaboard. Dates are listed below:-

If you haven't been dived for a while, try a Refresher Course on 18 metre NAUTILUS. This includes your own dive staff to look after you, 2 dives on the wrecks and reefs of Moreton Bay Marine Park, all hire equipment, courtesy bus transfers and lunch. Cost is $199.00. With the arrival of our new vessel, we require more Dive Control Specialists (Divemasters). If you wish to become a Dive Control Specialist, you may start your course anytime. Simply obtain a Dive Control Specialist Pack from us and commence the assignments prior to lectures. Our Dive Control Specialists come under our shop insurance and pay less than a third of the price of many other insurances available.
Remember, every Thursday night, we have computers set up for you to display your digital dive photos. Bring them in on CD and join the staff and customers for a FREE 6pm sausage sizzle. This is a great way to make new dive buddies and get to know our great staff.
Photo Competition Night
The first Thursday of every month is our Guest Speaker night/Slide Show. Bring your 5 best digital photos to enter in our monthly competition for a free trip on NAUTILUS! These nights are organised by our staff. Exclusive to Nautilus Scuba Centre Toowong, we are running FREE Digital Camera Clinics with photojournalist Nigel Marsh on the NAUTILUS. Customers must pay for a dive trip and bring their own digital camera and underwater housing on the trip. On this trip, Nigel will run a clinic on using a digital camera and how to get your best shots. Check the website for dates.
