Dive Report - February 9, 2010

January has delivered some fantastic diving around Moreton Bay on Supercat. Despite some rainy days, scuba diving conditions have been perfect! Throughout the past month we have had flat seas and extended visibility up to 20 meters at Flinders Reef. Many staff reported The Pines and Curtin Artificial Reef has been above average visibility as well. Water temperature has been hovering around 25 degrees Celsius whilst lately the tidal movements have been very small which has made for some relaxing diving and snorkelling.
Some of the highlights reported in January have been Manta Rays, Hammerhead Sharks, Leopard Sharks and offcourse the resident turtle populations!
Our annual Nautilus staff trip was a blast as we dived Gotham City, Smith Rock and Curtin Artificial Reef. Gotham City was a highlight with 30 metre visibility whilst Curtin Artificial Reef delivered with a show of large pelagic fish and 15-20 metre visibility. It certainly was a fun and exciting day out on Supercat for all the staff members!
Make sure you keep up to date with out upcoming trips and courses to extend and enjoy your scuba diving experience!
Water temperature:
26° C

Flinders Reef - 25m
