Is your equipment due for servicing?
It seems summer is the time people service their dive equipment. Many of you let your valuable lifetime warranties lapse due to lack of use.
"I'll get it serviced before my next trip!" are familiar words. Sadly, the next dive trip usually eventuates after warranty expiry dates, increasing the chance of expensive services.
Remember, if you have Lifetime Warranty issued with your new BCD or reg. purchase, it means certain parts will be covered IF your equipment is annually serviced within 12 months. If this expires by 30 days, you have lost it forever! Lifetime warranties are great value for money and could save you hundreds of dollars over the life of your equipment.
Scuba equipment is also a life support system and as such should be serviced annually to ensure peak performance on every dive. Nothing is worse than a leak just as you attempt a giant stride.
